Are you guys a publicly traded company? If yes, what's Follett's Stock ticker? Sorry for dropping this question on this non-investment based board, I was unable to find any Follett board that was focusing on the investment aspects. Thanks!

It's changing at other colleges "To apply to use your financial aid to purchase your books elsewhere (other than the bookstore), submit a completed Book Allowance Request form (www.roguecc.edu/Financialaid/forms/) to Rogue Central no later than 5pm Friday of the first week of the term."
There has already been such a lawsuit a d the college lost.
I read ASU students are pushing the FA issue of having to use their FA in the bookstores to the point it may windup in the courts, similar when Congress made the Universities publish which books they were going to have to use ahead of time. Once students unite there are so many of them and all connected they become a force that has to be heard, especially if they have good argument. And the government student loan and FA bills are so high it's logical.
Amazon may not dominate if MS and Pearson plans play out, but they will still be a major player for years.
Check out Barnes and Noble if you are interested in this industry. Similar structure with better purchasing power based on superstores. I don't think this industry is worth investing in as Amazon has made a commitment to dominating it. Only a matter of time. Financial aid is moving to prepaid visa type cars which will allow students locked into high prices at the school store to shop for the best price elsewhere.
If you want to throw away money, however, there are plenty of deserving folk who've had their careers squashed by Follett. Perhaps you'd like to invest in their future? Investing in follett would be throwing your money away (unless you want to greenmail these pond scum, or take them over outright. If takeover is desired, please have a reign of terror and do some public beheading).
Privately held. The stockholders are Follett family and Follett executives.
