You won't hear anything .. correct
Everything is fine .. that's what you hear from management.
Layoffs possible this year but more likely next year.
Rumors are just that. You get a better sense by looking around you,
are people working or scrounging looking for something to do?
If you see lots of people doing nothing then layoffs are not far away.
