Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Pick an number, any will do

L-E, l-I, T-I, I-E, show rate. It does not matter which, they will FIRE you for which ever one is convenient. That is right FIRE. None of this RIF business for Admissions. Don't think you can sit around and become a Senior Rep and stop producing like days past and THINK you have any shot at UI. HAHAHA! No way! If they sit in your cube, they should enroll. Only 3 reasons will do: No POG, No SSN, DEFAULT. Anything else, YOU FIGURE IT OUT! Transportation, childcare, shaky living situation, mom and dad won't sign FA paperwork, schedule conflict. Come on, did you really do your job if they don't drop everything to CHANGE THEIR LIFE? The AX is falling in DALLAS... has been for days. Senior Reps on a PIP- you are already GONE. They can replace you for less with someone who can get the same results.

When and how are the goals set, anyway? Seems some goals are set months in advance, and with lofty expectations. It does not matter that the marketing budget was cut after the goals were set. It does not matter that the DOE will not approve the new programs--you'd better just make up the difference in the current programs. It does not matter that expectations are higher than the glory peak days; find a way to make it happen, or your "customer service" will come into question. If you gave better customer service, the prospect would enroll, and start. It's all your lack of good customer service that is the problem. You will be replaced by someone making half your wage. And since they are over-paid, your replacement will jump on request. Never mind if the efficiency in lead management has gone down, unlike you, your replacement is very excitable.

CCi sets its goals so high that there simply aren't sufficient people to meet the goals. Also it simply does not matter how many are enrolled, CCi will always want more.

And why won't lies work??? Because the ugly truth is all over the internet...anyone with a smart phone can see. I have always conducted myself with ethically and honestly. For a long time that was enough to get my job done. I have the graduates and the success stories to prove it.

Why the missed starts? Sometimes all the lies in the world simply isn't enough.

Most reps don't lie. Most reps follow the rules. Admissions reps do not qualify anyone to attend. The problem I see is reps sell them their own dream and the reality doesn't live up to it. Why? Any number of reasons. Some within CCI's control and some not. If reps lied like you claim, why the missed starts?

Admissions has always been the problem. They enroll people who are largely unqualified or unmotivated. If the admissions staff could figure out how to do their jobs ethically (i.e. telling the truth and recruiting students who can read and write and want to succeed) there would be no problems. This company is in the death spiral because the admissions reps lie and cannot do their jobs properly. Good riddance to every one of them.
