Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Mini Mary Lee

It's not a coincidence most of the recent hires and those promoted are white women.

To be honest, I'm a white male who noticed the same.

Are you kidding me? Don't worry all you white haters. We are on our way to being the minority. SMH. Get over it. Life isn't fair. Some people have a lot worse then you do. So get off the race card. Such crap is this day and age.

Corporations have done a much better job at masking it. That's all.

I couldn't agree more. The race card excuse was viable 30 or 40 years ago not anymore, so 1950's.

Finally, someone who externalized my internal thoughts. If you are a minority with an unsolicited opinion, you don't stand a chance.

It's not a 40 year old reality. As soon as the race card is pulled out it's obvious it's an older generation. The younger generation doesn't think this way.

Those who use the race should not expect anything.

40 year old reality that I'm sure it's hard for anyone to admit, especially big corporations.

An emotional lift, to be certain. However it has nothing to do with this topic.

If you want to make a topic out of IEDs and bullets don't see color, point taken. However, that is not the topic here. 91

Freedom much!

Wow! fought for and died for freedom? How about freedom of speech.

A little off topic and a little off of one's meds.

The fact that you used the word dominant in this Century in America, you're not serious are you? You really think people feel that way? Americans have fought and died for peoples freedom on our land and foreign land and I find it disrespectful and in very poor taste to all the men and women who died that this discussion is even being had. I'll give you stats on how many graves there are of people who fought for your freedom in this country.

Oh yeah, it's a good time for white girls at Follett. They are milking it. Less work, more money. Glad they laid me off. I no longer have to witness the injustice.

That you believe you're conscious of discrimination to the point you can proclaim it over says more about you than it does about discrimination. Implicit in what you wrote is the argument that there is a proper balance and once the "dominant" race feels thing have gone far enough, all is good.

I think it's safe for you to assume that THEY may not agree. THOSE PEOPLE tend to do that. uppity of them, ain't it?

OMG please. I am women, a minority in your eyes I guess. I think most of America discrimination of ANY color is over. Drop the race card already it's not holding anyone back any more. As a matter of fact it has turned the corner and now whites have an argument they are discriminated against. Most "whites", you know those European descendants, that I know do not have any issues with people who have different ethnic backgrounds, can others from different ethnic backgrounds say they don't have an issue with various European descendants groups in America, yes many have a light tone skin color, they were born that way?
