Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Temporary Evergreen?

I've seen numerous postings for follett jobs across the country and they are titled " Temporary Evergreen". Can anyone tell me what that means?

They're constantly going to higher part time, temp employees because inexperience and high turn over is the best way to service customers. Confusion and lack of institutional memory are two characteristics we all look for when we enjoy great service.

Instead of creating multiple job reqs, and having to disposition other candidates before hiring on one req, an evergreen req allows you to have multiple positions to fill on 1 req
