Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Anonymous6085 WTF

WTF, bonus screwed up this year because of all the Kmart employees joining the company, and now accounting promotion announcements. How many directors and controllers does this company need?

There is not a dime saved this past year. Bring back the old leadership. This was by far the worst year in the history of Follett, and new leadership just blames the old leadership and current employees.

Before you point the finger current leadership, look at your accomplishments.

Old management gave most of those directors their promotions

Yes, someone please fill us former finance employees in on which sucking up favorites got promoted this time. I would love to know which managers who couldn't handle shit at a real company they felt were worthy of a promotion. I can think of maybe 2 that might deserve it.

This leadership lacks a lot including luster. By the way has anyone heard one innovate idea that they have had? Firing and layoffs and hire friends isn't doing much as far as I can see. And the lies well that is not going to bring anything good in the long run. They squeezed some extra work out if people this year but I don't think any believes any but senior management are ever going to see any bonuses going forward,

They never intended to pay the bonus. They wanted that money for 'shareholders' (read senior leadership). Remember those town hall meetings when they talked about how share value was down? They planned the new bonus plan to save them from paying out bonuses so their share value would go up. They lied all year about how the company was doing and deliberately waited until the very last second to admit there would be no bonuses to keep people motivated. Now they will lie about how next year will be better when all they have to do is set the goal too high to reach again.

Accounting has way too many managers. They need to cut the fat for sure! Something is wrong if you need that many high level managers. They dog their employees for ideas to make things more efficient in order to try to save themselves because they are too old school to come up with ideas of their own.
