I think it means the days of exclusivity on campus will go away. If I were a school I would jump at the chance of 2 or 3% commission on EVERYTHING a student buys from Amazon, versus a commission on a few text and maybe sweatshirt from the campus store. Don't forget the school bookstore takes up a lot of prime floor space that could be used for something else. Or I would enter into an agreement with 1 or more vendors and make money off wherever the student buys their stuff. Why lock into one.
