Yeah, discrimination is bad. As we learned from the person who has a vocabulary so limited he needs to use the term "retard" as derogatory. Wonderful.
7352-I've heard of stories being fabricated against long time employees just to get them out and not make it look like age discrimination. Follett thinks that a bunch of kids in their twenties are going to turn the company around. it's going to bite them in the ass.
Please do not use such words they are highly offensive to any educated compassionate person. Other words can be used to express your thoughts. Please look up Spread the word to end the word and see why that word is so hurtful.
You are correct. The company prospects does not have sustainability either. Current leadership legacy will be the worst Follett ever had.
how can they whack status without regard to age? The only way people gained status (40 hours w/benefits) was to be around for a while. Tenure is a function of age (one can't have 20 years of experience and be 25 years old). How can one fire the longest tenure without also eliminating the oldest, highest earning, most established?
That is the rub, for me; they claimed customer experience demanded this move, but they cut the people most able to give the best customer experience.
This was a purge of age, experience, cost.
Yes, using company layoff as a cover for the discrimination tactics that were used in the selection process. They never thought employees would get together and compare notes uncover their lies as well illegal and unethical practices. It's only a matter of time.
Yes, discriminating between workers they would like to keep and workers they felt could be let go. You are right.
