its (without apostrophe) indicates a possessive pronoun (as in Its hair is falling out). The apostrophe indicates a contraction (it is = it's as in it's cold=it is cold).
Considering the comment and considering its author works at a company that runs college bookstores, I find the entire topic ironic.
