Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Don't Name Names

I'm not corporate, but one of the laid off. Don't name names or initials of those who have been laid off. Its very disrespectful to those who were laid off. It's a very traumatic, and personal experience to be let go from a job. If the person laid off CARES FOR YOU, they will find away via email, linked in, etc to contact you.

but its a personal and private decision to tell someone you've been laid off. Don't "out" them and take away their decision to confess/disclose away from them

Please keep naming names. Those of us who have moved on but are still interested can't just look around to see who is missing.

With all due respect, it's easy enough to find out who is gone if we're really looking. After every round of layoffs, I go to the employee search page and look for them. It's like a guessing game.

Unfortunately, for a lot of us, it's not like we were personal friends with everyone. Many of us have had to do peer reviews for these people!

It would be nice to be able to say "goodbye" or "thank you" and "good luck".
