Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Expecting increases this year?

FSS is being setup to fail next year. The expectations are unrealistic and guarantee failure which will cause bad feelings between divisions when the company doesn't make its goal again. Morale is low and anger is high.

6864 - They really believe gutting an office building and equipping it with high tech devices will make everyone forget about what has happened over the past year. NOT! We are not children. Furthermore, we are not people who aren't used to nice things.

Have you looked behind the screens of Better Know. There isn't a whole lot there. As far as Show Evidence, I am sure they got a good pony show but the company is a startup, little over a year old. They started with a about million invested and Follett (the only investor through a Capital Venture avenue) gave 50 mil. You do the math. A FEW guys create a program for 1 mil, no reported customer base yet, just a couple of betas schools. If Follett had 50 mil why not write it themselves. If these guys wrote in little over a year for 1 mil, I think there could have been savings in 10's of mil. Oh that's right the new management doesn't see any potential in Follett's current/former employees, no talent there.

Heard management telling HR that morale is good, but they are either clueless or lying. Morale is terrible and everyone is extremely angry about the lies, loss of bonus and being set up to fail next year. Everyone is waiting for the next round of layoffs. Department is in chaos. Productivity is rock bottom.
