Break apart and sell individual components would be first guess but Follett doesn't appear to be structured for that. Absorb all possible revenue prior to disassembly seems to seem the logic approach to the systemic approach being taken.
FSS is being setup to fail next year. The expectations are unrealistic and guarantee failure which will cause bad feelings between divisions when the company doesn't make its goal again. Morale is low and anger is high.
Even going by strict textbook protocols this execution of leadership transition has to be one of the best examples on how NOT to do it. This methodology has to lead to low productivity and creativity which can be documented here and else where. Fascist use these tactics not US progressive companies. Analysis of these maneuvers leave others dumbfounded even from a military stand point. By all indications this is a strategic plan to purposely fail from creating conflicts from within.
