To all those being deceptive and thinking you are getting in good with management, remember you are being unethical and it can be turned around on you at any time. Some of you who are in it are not liked by management so it's a hoot to watch you act the fool for them.

What I see is like the old saying if you can't actually do it, look like you can. I guess it's hard to begrudge people using strategy that come right out of the latest project management textbooks, but without experience it's like toddlers learning to walk for their first and putting toddlers in charge of toddlers, well ... so long far well Auf Wiedersehen goodbye, Au revoir, Ciao, Salut ..... because of luck to all of you .....
"Act" is the operative word.
The problems with the "new" systems and less people to support them and the ones that are not getting reported due to fear of the consequences or reverting to finger pointing instead of problem solving next year may be worse than this year.
What's funning is because of the way Follett has conducted past layoffs everyone knows there will be no warning so they are doing exactly what Follett thinks they are preventing. Our text manager thinks he's next on the layoff list so he has been acquiring a large collection of textbooks. He just loads the trunk of his car up with textbooks. He's a well liked person friends with the manager so everyone looks the other way. People are also afraid of drawing any attention to themselves. I wonder how many other employees are doing the same?
I think it's happening all over. It's sad to say but it would be almost funny to see these types let go. The ones I work with really think it's getting them on the inside track. Better yet, these fools deserve to stick around to do all the extra hours that will be needed once people are laid off.
Same is happening at store level. lots of ass kissing in new york Especially regionals.
