Just wondering if anyone knows if profit sharing checks were given or not? We were told that even though we worked for eleven months out of the year we were not entitled to them if they were given. Another way the company put the screws to dedicated employees they terminated.

They really do know how to bully. That's for sure. I understand your frustration.
I was with the company 20 years. There doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason to who was chosen, only a scripted phone call not to take it personally. It really is unfortunate that the company didn't know more about their employees than just by number. My understanding is that they let go of people that knew more than one aspect of the store operations while hanging onto people that only had knowledge of their job and their job only. I have someone warning not to give to many details of who i am, i will heed that warning but really what more can they do to me? They've already terminated me, i no longer fall under the bully mentality of their Corporate BS.
Depends on what bonus plan you are on. Sounds like HR continues to get their bonuses. If you were put on the STI (short term incentive) plan, you can forget about it. The good news is that cutting the STI means that the value of Mary Lee's stock went up and she got a nice dividend. Let's all be happy for her. All it took were a bunch of layoffs, some loss of PTO and yanking bonuses at the last minute from a bunch of unimportant people. If they leave, no problem. We can outsource their jobs offshore.
I wouldn't share too many details of who you are
Institutional 18 yrs., then Follett 15 yrs. no reason, but my dept. had been GREATLY reduced, Gen. Bks.
How many years did you work for Follett? Did they tell you why you were the one selected? Good luck to you.
I was let go last week, store level, and my severance agreement promised the bonus. That is, IF they give it to anyone at all.
