Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Salaried employees and aca from a corporate perspective.

I left follett a while back and glad I did. The problem with the situation is companies are starting REALIZE the less people THEY have to pay out on salaries and insurance the better for their bottom line. I the company let go experienced salaried employees to pick up less experienced hourly sales people who can be paid less (this i don't know yet will affect my bottom line in a negative way). The company is also thinking HEY why should I pay for healthcare on these salaried employees when they will be required by law to pay for it themselves come Jan 1 if they don't have it due to ACA. This seems like a great way I, the company, can cut some costs. Strictly my opinion and makes sense to me. The situation in general sucks and I hope that everyone affected gets a new, better job as soon as possible.
