When I quit follett and luckily got a new job within a month I was surprised that I was not expected to work 10 hour days, 6 days a week as with Follett. I told a friend that apparently I had been working in a sweatshop and had not realized it. There were times hourly associates were making more money by hour than me because of the 75 + hours I was putting in. There are actually stores where everyone but the manager was laid off. I cannot imagine what insanity the stores are now.
