Thread regarding Follett layoffs

I think you are missing the point of the posts here. I do not speak for the group but I feel that anyone who worked under Jim Baumann or Chris Traut are sad to see the company go south. Follett was once a great place to work and had awesome annual conferences back in the day. Yes, we laugh at Mary Lees wrinkled shirts but it's because we knew better presidents who had clear visions of where the comany was going. Mary Lee has not shared her vision as far as I know and her business decisions seem aimed at shutting down stores versus aiding them. She does not know the college bookstore business, that is evident. Nor does she have a clue about what happens in the back offices of those stores or she would not have laid off essential full time hourly staff. There are stores that do over 10 million and the accounting/cash office people were laid off....how is that good business? There is a store Ina major football conference with no general merchandise manager going into the playoffs. How is that smart?
