Thread regarding Follett layoffs

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs

I think that we are getting tired of grand, strategic, even tactical statements... I just cannot see many here... So people revert to things that are easier... Instead of saying - Mary, your leadership is not brilliant because you move too slowly, you do not anticipate trends, you do not build for future, you do not understand our customer, etc. - we chose lighter topics, something like your hair style is awkward and go iron that shirt. Really, what's the typical profile of a poster here? Can the average poster assess and succinctly articulate the strategic ability of a major corporate executive? I'd suggest that each of us sticks with what we know the best, some of us will know the finance, let's talk about finance, some of us will be good in strategy, go ahead and post about that, and some of us will talk about shirts and the visual impact of wrinkled items on anyone who needs to buy from you (in this case, we are supposed to buy into a strategic shift, and I'd say many of us are not buying it)...
