Thread regarding Follett layoffs

No happy ending for us

We were a bit heavy on the FT side, so I expected cuts there. I am surprised they did not hit Oak Brook first, one IT resource costs probably like a couple or more of store resources. Let's see what happens, but I am pretty sure they will hit the Corporate/IT pretty hard at some point. If they are downsizing (and we all know what's happening in the industry) for real, they will have to hit back office, admin, middle mgrs etc. So, fasten your seat belts and enjoy the ride. If they get the house in order and improve cash flow, they will look for and find a buyer. Once the buyer comes in, we'll see another big wave of reductions, they will cut to the bone, put company in debt to finance operations and milk the cash flow. So, strategically speaking, if you have options, go do something else somewhere else, this story does not have happy ending
