Follett used to have a mantra of "People First". The irony is that they meant it. It looks like that is long gone now.
About 15 years ago Follett went through a similar crisis, although not a draconian. They brought in a bunch of management from bankrupt Tandy/Radio Shack as saviors. They hung around and screwed things up for about 5 years. Those folks are all gone now.
The bookstore market has changed and Follett needs to change but it should have been happening over the past 10 years as the market gradually changed instead of hitting a wall at full speed. You folks all have my sympathy.
