To my Heald colleagues who care about the truth, don't let the conjecture and lies on this site get to you. I consistently see misinformation that is outright hurtful to who we are and the mission we seek to uphold. Someone clearly has an agenda to destroy our great reputation. Our Cohort default rates are all below CSAC's 15.5% cutoff for 2009. Losing Cal Grant this year did not hurt enrollments. The real issue is how this valuable funding source hurt our students, whom now have to finance their education in other ways - and they are! Heald is not perfect, but management makes decisions through the lens of what would benefit our students most. I have seen this first hand in both our non profit years and for profit years equally! Our placement rate last year was 81% - remarkable considering the economic environment. Our grad rates did not look good because of a technicality of the calculation. You will soon see published numbers in the high 40%, which is quite good if you look at our public competitors. The same civility that is missing from our political discourse is missing on this site. Let's take the dialogue to the next level - to the benefit of our 17,000 students!
