I agree, that's the best you can do, cigarettes, really?

Close your eyes and imagine one of those, let’s say MA’s has to take care of you. Just ask yourself, would I want this person assisting my dentist while working on me, or giving my child an injection knowing they really did not experience actual learning, and possess the needed intelligence for the field they have chosen. I know I would not want this person any where near me.

Look folks, we are teaching people to work in the medical field, and what I have seen come out of there is what as I refer to as dangerous medicine. It has almost become a game of sorts for these students, a pretend nurse job, and an ego booster. They don’t realize they are dealing with human beings, or just don’t care, after all they look cool in their scrubs.

In fact the whole program (MA) is concerning. Most MA's could not even tell you anything about the medication they are giving, but then neither could their instructor. The program is so shoddy, and most students really don't care to learn. Sorry but I firmly believe that instructors should possess a BS, and have current clinical experience, or be nurses who have to take 1-2 years of pharmacology as well as other courses which makes them knowledgeable. “Real Life Experience” is great, if it is current experience, and not 15 years ago experience.
