UOP is a very dysfunctional company - they are stuck on a type of thinking or mentality and they can not move forward to progress or reach a state of balance between operations or departments.

Since I have been away from the company and attending interviews - I was just offered a position after 2-3 months of searching. I am learning to detect dysfunctional organizations and turn away from the environment.

One key aspect is to look at the progression of the company. That is, if one notices steady growth, consistent goals and focus, and high employee retention (if possible) than one has encountered a more stable or "functional" company. The company is not in a constant state of "flux" - which is characteristic of UOP. Refer to the links shown below and after reading the descriptions, it will help those individuals who are still employed with the company and are willing to address and see the truth to "WAKE UP" from employment and find a healthier environment.
