I was waiting for a sign as to whether the good people were leaving for Google.... or the bad people were leaving for google. HS was one of the good guys. The good people are leaving for Google.
Happened last month, not months ago.
What was the title of HS? What department? Important to know where the drain is, because that department is probably in trouble.
I think the VPs that are leaving or have left, know that there is no future here. Better to work at Google where something might still be built. Also, better to get out of the toxic political atmosphere at Oracle.
The more they leave, the more it means Oracle is dead.
Or cl is like an ocean. If few sharks go way, nothing is going to happen. People leave and there is nothing new about it.
If some one leave after a strong disagreement, that could be some thing. But at this time, its just a matter of time people with self respect or who have a family to maintain will exit.
it is an absolute c-ap post. If this guy has been important enough to have 400 reportees then it worth mentioning. Otherwise there are loads of VPs with 30-40 people reporting to them. Their existence is as important to the business as the next freeloader director ::)
There are too many clueless VPs.
There are 1000s of vps
There are literally hundreds if not thousands of VPs at Oracle (I once ran a query in Aria, but don't recall the exact numbers). Initials like HS are fairly meaningless unless you mention the org.
what has he been doing? How big an org he had?
Another VP leaving the sh--show behind.
Have there been people leaving the DB area? Seems like the id--ts are moving into that area now.
More good people leaving as the holes left behind are filled with the incompetent moving up the chain of command.
