Just curious for ideas. If/when dsd ends for us what type of career will you all be looking into ? Where? Wouldn’t make much sense to switch companies to like frito etc because they will be gone eventually too so just looking for ideas. This is pretty heartbreaking for me really. This has been a decent job to support my family with and I enjoy it for the most part but I’m not blind to what’s coming either

My Boss said keep selling it save our jobs
Everything will be positive right up to the second the hammer drops.
On our conference call yesterday everything was still positive. No signs of any exit anytime soon. I'll keep you updated on any changes

There well still be jobs in dsd look into the beverage side of it like soda and beer wine there many laws and regulations that retail store can’t go above in which they need the middle man good luck friends
For those who may stay close to retail, retailers will be hiring! They already are! When Keebler left, those that were proactive are employed as reps fit Mondelez, those that waited for the severance, they are merchandisers. Just sayin...
If retail is where you may stay, I’d jump now! I’ve helped some already find good jobs, with benefits.
Easier to find a job when you have a job!
For me, I want to get out of retail. Too many changes within our customers and other companies. I would like to become a firefighter. Good job to keep me in physical shape and healthier, help others. I don’t see that job going away. Might even go back to school to finish my criminal justice degrees. Good luck everyone
Do you have a college degree? If so consider going back to get some type of certificate in cyber security. Lots of good jobs there but you need a bachelors degree. You could use severance to get a certificate.
Otherwise what about working for a broker? As dsd ends there will be jobs in the broker industry. Acosta, crossmark, etc.
Lastly, Jyve is pretty interesting if you can get insurance from a spouse?
Good for you to embrace what is coming! Denying things won’t help!
Good luck!
I'm looking into the delivery industry. E-commerce is where the money is at. Amazon, FedEx, door dash etc etc. That's the direction this generation is heading. You can't go wrong with any of those opportunities. Good luck
