Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Risk Management

I worked in their risk and security team in multiple capacities on and off for over a decade. The last time I was there as a contractor all their security plans were corrupted because there risk management program fell apart due to lack of qualified people and lack of money. I spent a lot of time fixing a decade worth of mistakes that nobody cared about. After a year at that contract which was extended for another year. I walked out without notice because it was a thankless and dead-end job and I felt I wasn't paid enough.

The lady sitting behind me was a fulltime employee in risk and security compliance who was there for about a year and she got so frustrated she quit and walked out without notice a month before I quit.

It's not a great company to work for as the work is tedious and pay is $hit.

They say do they "risk management" but they're the ones who are the risk.

They got no job skills because all their security plans are corrupted the OCC must issue a heavy consent order and fine. No excuses.

Bravo to previous poster!

The only was to move forward earnestly is to admit your mistakes (ALL of them) and clean house (FULLY).

Until then, lipstick on a bloated pig.

Stop blaming everyone and everything else, when the blame sits squarely at your own feet.

Shame on you, WF!

They can let you go without notice and vice versa.

It's a problem across all departments. HR is a train wreck, they can't get out of their own way, making busy work for everyone, a datacenter went down and no one believe's the "official" story, people are being moved around so much that I spend most of my time fixing things that used to run like clockwork.

Management is clueless.

And you are correct, the pay is very low. Job security used to make up for that somewhat, it was a good place to work for most of the 10 years I've been here, but since the crimes, and the massive amount of crimes, was exposed, it's gone downhill fast.

Management is to blame for everything, they can't blame the economy or regulation or the weather.
