About 40 folks would be let off in OCI security in India next week. Entire teams of QA and Dev are asked to leave. The folks who are going include good performers, bad performers, new joiners, employees who have spent their better half of their careers in Oracle. No distinction. They were mostly told that their org is growing until the axe came falling on their necks. Some of them were even told that they would be getting a hike or stock bonus!!

Oracle, for some strange reason, is not allowed to discontinue lobs and/or layoff people. The people they employ must be guaranteed a job for life?
stated also in EMEA. have received more than 10 "have been made redundant today" mails. and that's only about my personal friends, "redundants" in EMEA will be in the order of hundreds... good luck everyone,
Sorry to hear, but here is an important point for everybody to understand: no matter what some oracle manager/ exec tells you, the plan truth is that Oracle is in deep trouble and is being liquidated piece by piece. There is no future for anybody here. Your only job is to find another job somewhere else ASAP! Good luck!
