Major layoffs coming in compliance and risk. At the town hall last month they said ny and nj will no longer be a hub. All jobs going to Delaware and Tampa.
Is this true about the town hall? Can anybody confirm it?

How come this wasn’t in the news? They announced less jobs created last month, I would assume letting over 400 people go would be news worthy.
October 2 2019 and the 3rd Chase layed off over 400 staff in JC
October 15th 2019 GTI will cut hundreds more within the US. Meanwhile UK seems untouched. You would of thought Jaime Dimond would try and keep jobs in America.
Controls is doing layoffs of 14 in San Antonio now.....June 19
The leaders of chase are pigs! They talk about preparing for the downturn in the economy looming and the need to cut expenses.... however , take a look at Sec form 4... insider stock sales. These leaders are pocketing millions and millions based on the hard work of the same people they are laying off! PIGS! Liars and thieves!
Layoffs are usually end of the month. They are constantly on-going so there's no end date. Expect them to be around before quarterly results.
Anything new on a date for the lay-off?
Something definitely in the works. SpringB program is starting to sound more and more like a training platform for the masses. The program also concludes August which puts the timing of a July July layoff about right.
Which groups within Compliance? Compliance is kind of a broad term lol
I guess if compliance and risk are targeted for layoffs that the company has nothing to hide about their business practices?
Hope everyone survived another Thursday!
Yea but not all companies are building a billion dollar headquarters on the most expensive street in the world while they lay off employees. No hard feelings? Lol nice spin
Which line of businesses within Compliance is this to effect?
I can't say who I am but I will verify it is true as of current plans. It will be done in phases and several months (maybe years).
If you are ask to train someone from outside NJ/NY or less senior, it is a good sign.
There's a chance you may be layoff first and given 30-60 days left to train your replacement or zero servanance. This is often the case if your job is considered repetitive.
The choice depends on the middle level managers. Once their staff is replaced, depending on needs and headcount the manager may be replaced by higher level or centralized staff manager.
This is a business and not a charity, so no hard feelings. This happens often in all companies unless you happen to be in a cushy federal job.
If it is, I gotta keep myself better informed...
