I'm waiting for the numbers but it looks like a sales refresh and a smattering of layoffs --- something that usually already happens yearly.

WTF are you smoking? Can I have some, cause that must be some serious reality distorting anxiety relief you got your hands on.

"Vibes" You call it? The Mass exodus of senior product development and sales executives in the past 9 months a vibe? How about the shutdown of the Oracle marketing and advertising center in March? What kind of vibe is that? What company bent on selling products fires its advertising center? How about the obliteration of an R&D center? HR its self sending out emails of a massive reorg? That a "vibe?"

What about the statement:

That's just a vibe? How about the market statement on Oracle's -0.01% earnings for Q3 2019 and 0.01% sales growth? Is that a healthy growing business? You think Oracle hid its cloud numbers from its quarterly reports because they were awesome? Have you heard MH or LE touting their cloud prowess like they used to?

This figure implies that they witnessed a quarterly year/year change in their earnings with -0.01% coming in sequential stages and their sales for the third quarter increasing by 0.01%.

What sources do you have to support your "no layoff coming" policy suddenly adopted after abrupt unexpected layoffs in March and May?

... wait do you have confirmation on this? Or is this just your gut feeling? Or you are basing this on your experiences and study of layoff practices in North America and Globally? Just curious what facts do you have to support your statement that no layoffs are coming this summer?

I'd expect the HR crew to make lots of posts here supporting the "No layoff" rumor.

That said, no company does a small cut; only to follow with a bigger cut a few months away. It just doesn't happen that way for, hopefully, obvious reasons to you.

Exactly all the cuts are done! No more cuts coming. Layoffs are a thing of the past at Oracle. There is no way anyone is getting laid off this summer.

Yeah I am so not worried. I am perfectly safe at Oracle. I make sure I am in tight with my manager, my director and VP. Always make sure they know of every win I am involved in. No worries here. Bottom of the barrel losers get cut every year. I'll bet these losers light up the forum.
