I decided to leave on my own, honestly I cannot handle uncertainty and I’ll be submitting my resignation on Friday. I've been with Oracle for about seven years.
If you are planning to do the same thing please make sure to have something lined up first, it makes no sense to leave and be without work. If you are in the Bay Area, there is a plenty of jobs available for most of the skills our folks have – I am on the business side so my story was a bit different as I am not a technologist but I’ve talked to multiple recruiters and they are aggressively pursuing any candidate with tech skills.
If you have a strong personal professional network, use that, there is plenty of Ex-Oracle people working for Ex-Customers and other companies – they will know what kind of quality a typical person from Oracle brings – I am sure it’ll go well.
