So can we use are sick hours when we have a doctor excuse? Not PTO or PPTO. Sick hours. The excuse stops us from getting points.

They really screwed us on the old sick & personal hours that we had . I mean really they are in a bucket that you can never use unless it is for a family member ????? What is wrong with that picture ? I can not believe they got away with it .
People were calling in like crazy throughout the company before that happened and nothing at all
I think you have to be out of all PPTO and PTO before you can use sick time for a qualifying FMLA leave for a family member, then you can use up to 80 hours.
It depends on the manager. Yes they can override it and let you. I understand it's suppose to be for sick family members but they can and could do it!!
For the old sick hours it will depend first if you are full time or part time. After that you will need to look up sick hours on the WIRE, some states had certain requirements to use those hours in the past.
Plus only management can enter the old sick hours and again I highly suggest you print out the information from the WIRE before you speak with your manager.
Sick hour is only for relatives getting ill
