Let's see who makes the Guinness World Records list - can some one tally up the total number of people laid off for Welch and Hurd... I do not think anyone else is even close.

Neutron Jack would fire the bottom 10% based on performance every year. And GE is huge, it has close to 300K employees today, and had even more during the JW years. meaning that he fired 30,000+ people every year. He was the CEO for 20 years, so he fired as many as 600,000 people. He wins easily,
Jack wins, only because he made it ok to do these mass,layoffs to appease The Street. It used to be that having to lay-off was a badge of shame. He made it OK to take a storied manufacturing and services giant, and turn it into a financial c-sino. At least he married the woman he had a torrid affair with, whataguy
