Not always, remember that wall street thinks layoffs can be a good thing for cost containment and Oracle doesn't announce small rif's, they go on all the time. Some hardware people were let go from Colorado 2 weeks ago, Solaris sustaining (isn't it all sustaining now?) in March and April.

https://investor.oracle.com/events-and-presentations/default.aspx - The earnings date will only be announced next week. So layoffs might be soon after that, and right before the actual earnings call (which is likely the week of June 17)?

Typically yes, after year end close (today) we should start seeing internal announcements of new VP & Director people coming in or leaving but only if they're "going to send more time with their families" if they're getting the boot we don't usually see exit announcements. Mass rif's aren't announced but we'll see personal emails from people who are rif'd that are saying good bye .....

If referring to layoffs, don’t these always occur AFTER quarter-end and actual reporting so as not to convey any trouble in “paradise”?
