Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF terminating staff for minor infractions now?

Two people in our division have received immediate Final Notices for minor infractions. A third was terminated on the spot for sending not yet live social media content to third party agency via regular email. What the h*ll is going on around here? These are good employees and the company is screwing them over. Is this the new tactic to reach 26,500 RIF?

So much for assuming good intentions. This company is toxic bullsh*t.

The person that is talking about Old people needs to look in the mirror him or herself.. as one day you will be here too. I personally do not take the company insurance and have Never used FMLA or short term disability. . But in the time I have been here I have seen more younger team members use All of it. So don't be using old and young ad issues. When Automation and offshore comes into play we are All At Risk. Remember your words when you are put out to pasture.

Hypocritical as when I worked there I knew of employees who didn't do work and in top of that involved in rampant s-xual harassment and embezzlement. So the retaliation against employees is accelerating and they ask employees go to HR?

Parts of the company will begin being sold off before the next economic downturn. Wells Fargo is exemplifying an organization in the beginning stages of its death throes.

Unless you are senior executive management HR will begin their purge of all the old people in the coming months. If you look in the mirror in the morning and have gray hair or look old, your @ss is on the chopping block. Why would a company keep old people on the payroll?

Old people are expensive to keep employed, hard on the health insurance, and miss work due to all their physical ailments/surgeries/illnesses/family problems.

Once the old people are gone their assignments/tasks will be consolidated with a handful of millenial "replacements" and 1099 contractors, before business units begin being sold off and senior executives pockets a few good years of bonuses before the entire business (what's left of it) implodes.

Sell your company stock now, exit as quickly as you can, and enjoy the watching the company swirling down the toilet.

We've seen the same. Even something innocuous in Employee Handbook. Wells is holding people to a ridiculous standard now. No room for human error. Impossible to succeed in this environment. I think that's the point.

Had valuable team member, who just finished chemo treatment and had a bad phone call with someone, go straight to Final Notoce.from HR. No warning or anything.

Completely unreasonable and unfair.

The decision makers need to take a hard look in the mirror.
