Hey newbie, here's a tip.
Don't soliciting career advice from a layoff forum.
All the previous positive comment plus:

Emphasize on the products on your portfolio "sell more" in the market.

If you get to chose your territory make sure you work on a territory that spends money on your products. Demand generation is needed regardless.

Focus on big accounts (or cash cows if any). These will help you make your numbers.

What advice would I give you? That you just made an exceedingly poor career move? Reverse it before you start at Oracle — go to a growing firm where you can grow, be successful and make more money !!
What you are selling will be constantly changing.
Your customers will be careful because what others did, or did not do before you arrived.
