I’m a floor partner and being forced to work 3pm-11:30. So not even the test clubs are fully on this garbage idea yet? That’s not encouraging.
We have lost 20 people from this change coming up. What are we going to do and we are on a hiring freeze wth?
We have been on the day stock program for a while and most stockers are 4-12:30 or 3-11:30. Floor partners have been working 1-9:30 usually. It’s really not that bad of a setup if there’s good and enough staffing. The only thing is receiving is only going to get wayyy worse. Picks left over to do after opening, trucks not ran out or partials all over. It’s interesting to say the least.
Not heard a single peep from people on block that it works great. Only negatives. Probably most have quit and have no need for this board.
It can't fail some college grad got a 4.0 on his final exam essay explaining how this process works to perfection.
All clubs have to do is keep their head count up, hire nothing but part timers for closing shifts at the min start wage. Ensure all associates are scheduled accordingly and no need to call anyone in or offer overtime and have to cut hours to make payroll by the end of the month.
Because we all know associates are the most reliable and will not let life happen to maintain block scheduling.
Don't know about other stores, but we don't start block scheduling until June 21st. I know most of our night shift quit as soon as their hours changed.
I've been wondering this also
