Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

How long does it take to get used to block scheduling?

To tell you the truth I’m a Walmart employee, and in the last week or so rumors started circulating about the schedule changes that could be imposed and that they could be similar or the same as the ones that were done at Sam’s recently. How long does it take to get used to the so-called bloch scheduling and is it all that bad as a lot of people claim?

It gives you no time with your family if you get the 3 pm shift. I wasn't hired for a evening shift every day. I do my fair share of closing now but at least I would get a couple of day shifts so I could be home a couple nights a week. Now I can forget seeing my kids unless it's my day off.

If you like to work 3 to 11 every night and every weekend and never see your kids during a school week then you'll love it

It hasn't started yet. June 22nd. And not many people are happy about it. But I'm betting Walmart will follow with the schedule. They always do.
