Pepsico UK showing off a BS Vanity Award for IT

Found this in my LinkedIn feed from a former colleague showing off how Pepsico UK "won" something called The Real IT Awards (RITA) for the category of "Project of the Year >250K GBP" - firstly wtf is 'project of the year' and secondly, I suspect PEP's been spending their severance savings on Vanity Awards! I mean if you google Real IT Awards, there's almost nothing on them, but for their own sites. Most Vanity Organizations try to be as discrete from Google as possible. Pepsi desperation at its finest!

@ZdfI85I-qrox - there would not be any issue if it was a real award. But this is a fake award that if you pay some cash to the organization, you automatically win something.

Actually well deserved. How about supporting you colleagues. Maybe mor time contributing and less time being a victim

indeed - it was on that 'judge's' LinkedIn page where I first saw his prideful posting of being 'awarded' this most prestigious prize! It reminds me of back in Feb 2018 when the first round of big layoffs took place and in a complete lack of coordination with HR, a couple of days after Pepsico in most ESSA BU's sent out a mass email how they were voted as a Top 100 employer or something to that effect. But same thing: to be awarded a "Top 100 employer" badge, it is aslo a Vanity 'pay-for-play' type deal. Gotta admit, this is a great laugh!

That was supposed to be "wänkers." Bloody héll!
