Seniority and days off

Is seniority playing a part in your chosen days off? I would understand not being able to choose the whole weekend off being a Retail establishment but if you hold seniority shouldn’t you be able to request Sunday as your day off? I’m not sure what’s going on the rest of the clubs but I hope it’s across the board.

Sunday’s is a day everyone should work. Lots of stocking can get done without members in the club.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they find a way to get a crew in the building for an entire shift when it’s empty.

Seniority mattered for one associate in my department but not for another because she was cross trained in other departments she got morning shift over someone who has worked here longer.

I'm taking severance and leaving, but when my CM was doing his one-on-one's with the night crew I had asked for Sunday/Monday if I stayed and he was fine with it. I have the most seniority and those are my current days off, and he at least pretended to want me to stay, so I don't know if that factored in.

It is whatever you’re block is. If an area doesn’t have a block schedule of Sunday/ Monday off then you don’t get it. Our produce department has 2 guys with 25 plus years with company and neither got Sunday off. One is Monday / Tuesday and other is Wednesday/ Thursday off I believe. 96
