Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Actual facts on Operation Managers

The post about small volume stores earlier someone made.. what they though would happen is true.

3 stores in Maine have Operation Supervisor positions (filled, not posted and Mine is one of them). I guess we are a small volume store and no longer will have an ASM in our store, and going forward only A & B volume stores will. Our Ops is very good at their job, and has proven themselves well.

I’m not sure as to what happened to the 3 ASMs in those stores, but I do know that these new positions are 40 hours, and you can find their job description on the careers website on bbb. None of those three have an ASM either.

Not to create panic, I don’t see a lay off but more of a phase out or push out.

The SDM position isn’t new, it’s basically a benchwarmer position for RM. The SDM reports to the RVP. BBB is using this position to cut back on payroll expenses. Same goes for the AM position.

In my area we also have what’s called a Sr. DM instead of a regional manager. Not sure if that’s new or not
