Whose else’s store manager is out for the whole week for training? Makes me wonder what’s up.

my sm is out for that mechandise thing. where they all get together in the district and visit vendors.
Just show up to random stores unannounced. Talk to the associates, some will actually give you good ideas and feedback, some will be too intimidated. The store managers have too much invested in many cases to "rock the boat". He needs to get the info unfiltered from the people who work the front lines.
Marvin should invite the store associates not the managers. Can’t tell marvster what’s wrong if you never come out if your office.
Maybe we need to go back to management wearing blue vests so they are visible on the floor.
you sure its not the week long outing where a group of SM's are going to the corporate headquarters to personally meet with marvin etc. this has been going on for a few weeks now. there was even a podcast about it. supposedly an open forum to share ideas, whats working and not working.........it could just be your SM's turn to go.
