Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

D4 and D3 will both ratify in July

Your hearing it here first. D4 will ratify no matter the vote count. D3 is already a done deal. D4 had a take it or leave it choice after learning D3 deal is already complete. D3 will wait to announce the tentative agreement until after the D4 vote is finished. Trust me on this one. Point your fingers at each other now but watch how it plays out.

Our local never told us anything about any TA or vote. Must be painting signs for politicians.

Ok think it thru employees worked hard last 16 months no contract and got AT&T thru their lightgig build. Now that build is over and oh my a contract to screw the members again. Back pay should go back to April 2018 no matter what if not company gets rich again off the employees money. How is that legal. It doesn't matter what the members vote it is already agreed on between AT&T and national Cwa. JOKE!!!!

When does D4 vote?

If you don’t show up to vote No, they automatically count you as a yes vote. That is how it’s been done every contract.

It makes no difference how many Prem Techs vote "No". You will be out voted by Core and the contract will be settled. It s---s but that's the way it is. Good Luck

Yep! Hard to believe, but true. No telling what the union agreed to this time.

Spoke to members from 3 different locals. They claim everyone they spoke to is going to vote no. Everyone is tired of always working without a contract. This contract comes out to be a 2.5 year deal. Make it a 4 year deal from ratification or correct the pay from when it starts. The prem techs are all saying no either way. Feelings may change when the details are seen. There was no mention of a 401k change like the final offer either.

D3 already said they hope to reach an agreement on the CWA website. Just copy and paste the agreement from D4. The way the future looks, chances we make it to another contract are slim, don’t ignore the writing on the wall. I know you want what’s best for your families. Don’t wait and blame T for everything that will happen in the future. Look at what’s right in front of your face and take action.

D3 just started negotiating about a week ago. There’s no way they will coming to a tentative agreement anytime soon, especially after they just got hammered with a massive surplus.

New deal includes a 3 + 3 + 3 incentive to encourage older employees to leave.

Might as well get it over with in my opinion. Why drag it out? D4 will only get half a contract because it took so long to get one. What we waiting on?

Bull Malarkey, There is no way D3 has an agreement yet, they still have a month before the contract expires. No way

When D3 agreed early D4 was left with no choice. It’s just a dog and pony show to look good until the papers are signed.

If either of them ratify, it's going to be because enough workers are happy to be on the gravy train, and won't want to mess it up.
