HCL software started out with some good blokes running the place. 6 years later it’s a dumpster fire.
The UNICA Software product engineering leadership has completely lost the plot and worse, let their ego run wild to destroy a once market leading product with a USP no one could touch - scale and mathematical precision for audience management across all channels that Yuchun Lee & Team built a legacy upon. These HCL men today are not in the same league leg anlonr ballpark ans Yuchun’s UNICA team. This HCL product team actually think they will create the next generation of marketing automation software.
These Sage (sarcasm) leaders just let go of the lead product expert UNICA Campaign. The reason:: hcl will no longer be developing new versions of the flagship product UNICA CAMPAIGN. In short, it’s over for UNICA Campaign & the customers. 12.1.10 is the last version.
“UNICA+” (version 25.0) is the new direction. This confabulation they call UNICA+ (“plus). It is anything but “+” (positive). It’s a “con” from the get go.
The customer base continues to defect at an accelerated speed. The few smart ones cancelled with their perpetual licenses from IBM in tact.
Ai revoir UNICA. Congratulations Gartner. You nailed it in 2020. HCL milked the customers for the last 6 years only to ki-l the platform and flagship product .
UNICA+ has zero $ in sales to date.
HCL is just dumb... there is just no other words that come to mind. At least, IBM did not pay them to take Notes and the likes from it.
Curriculum's at most Uni's have courses in Microsoft Exchange-Outlook for obvious reasons.
How many have courses in IBM Domino? I searched about 5 and did not find anything.
Control is one thing. If HCL wants to stay in business, they are advised to not use Notes.
