Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CWA leadership is non existent.

CWA leadership is non existent. Pretty clear most members of all districts prefer to unite the districts or at least get the contract expiration dates within the same year of each other. Leadership ignores its members wishes at its own peril. Any wonder membership (and morale) is down across the board ?

District 3 contract expires Aug 3rd. A month away. Not a coincidence that att suddenly makes concessions to D4. Att is afraid of the political firestorm that will ignite if D4 and D3 walk together. They know that would get a lot of press coverage. Bad press. D4 members can get a much better agreement if they say no to this one and do a slow down of work with D3 next month. Where is the CWA leadership ? Cozying up with att , that’s where. Both are working to just maintain the status quo.

Just wait, if this contract favors some work groups and doesn’t improve others or doesn’t improve prem tech language and is voted in then prem tech in right to work states will be opting out in droves.

If this tentative agreement favors certain work groups or doesn’t improve language for prem techs than cwa will be losing members in right to work states if it is voted in.
