Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Be cautious transferring to a diff dept

Moved to a Jacksonville team from a very stable good environment elsewhere in Florida, proved my downfall. Immediate chaos from the beginning and a feeling of just not being accepted. The truth comes out in time: Every single person on this team came from one hospital in the region. Every one of them. A secret hire in process, manager hiring all her old friends into her team. When one doesn't get along with you, the rest don't. Remember the saying, "Nurses eat their young". Yup. Explains why people were coming and going, coming and going, couldn't keep track of who was there. Eventually catching up to me despite complaining to HR. Fabricated issues with my work.

Never was in a more negative work space ever in my life. I suppose the 'friend' who left and wanted to come back now has a job. Onward to greener pastures where hard work and loyalty are appreciated.

I applied 250 times. YES 250 times. I think my manager was tired of it and let me go to the next position. Walked right into a bees nest. I have never in all my life been treated with such disrespect and horrible management. It was so hostile that people quit talking to each other. Why do adults think this is a great way to manage people? You shoot them down psychologically and expect employees to be smiling and happy and help members. When you just got chewed out for an imagined transgression of which has no significance other than the manager has probably just gotten chewed out herself, who is going to suffer? the member first and then the employee because I just disengaged and am not seeing the vision anymore.

How can you even get into another department? Been applying for transfers for over 2 years, can’t even get interviews?

I am so sorry-- but not surprised, that this happened--- Humana is beyond ripe with toxins... I've been out since the very first RIF-- not regretting it a minute. There is soooo much life out there POST-Humana!!

Blessings and success to you!!
