When and how does severance get paid

My husband was on 3rd shift and was offered a severance. The management was so sparse with details the last few weeks on everything.. I know the management keyed his departure into their system but that's literally all we know. He didn't even get spoken to about the actual payout, when to expect it. We heard from others that it was the amount of years he worked but that's about it. Does it come in the mail or on his pay card? and how many weeks after they keyed him out? management really dropped the ball and did not communicate to the to the other third shifters. there were others asking a lot of questions and no one informed them

Just retired. Human Resources said I would get paid PTO AND PERSONAL. DID NOT GET PERSONAL! Be fore warned-every time they change policy it's to screw you out of YOUR money! Take off EVERY chance you get and don't accumulate ANY time!

Thanks everyone. We ended up getting an email, and signed the paperwork. I'm still not sure when it will get sent exactly but my husband doesn't plan on emailing anyone so if anyone has insight please let me know

I received an email from home office containing a 22 page document which includes a separation agreement and the terms of my severance.
