So what’s gonna happen in January when Caremark and Walmart do not sign a new contract? They barely signed last January. The will cut into their business. However the reimbursement is awful. IMHO Walmart should have bought their own pbm. Cvs now has edge on them.

I got my last paycheck on 9/5 with 5 days PTO added in. I also received via email info about severance which i already signed. I say check with your mhwd. It could be an error.

I'm partially confused. I was told a month ago via Walmart's severance line that the final paycheck would be on 9/5 which would include the 5 day PTO payout. Last week my DM told me I had to come to the cash office to collect my final paycheck. When I got my paycheck I saw it was only a weeks worth of pay so I assumed it was just the PTO payout and they would direct deposit my last 2 weeks of August in my bank account. On 9/5 I did not have anything deposited into my bank account. I did finally get the FedEx-ed severance papers delivered on my front doorstep yesterday. Check your mailbox or front door/door step for that or email. I still don't know how we're being paid for the last 2 weeks of August though. If anyone knows, let me know.

Oh I was on them like ants at a picnic about my final paycheck. I live in a state where the labor law requires payout if terminated. Let’s just say I was relentless. I really don’t care about their problems anymore. Pay up. Bye. Also wait till u see the bs 9 pages of severence. They are going out of their way to say it’s not age. I have no idea what their parameters are but I’m glad I’m gone. By the way, my feeling we were the first round. I’m not so sure the next group will be given 2 months with pay and then severence. Good bye china mart!!

I didn’t get my last paycheck either or my PTO payout. I called 1-800-622-3989. You have to give them your email and then they email your severance package. They told me it was up to the MHWD to fix the final paycheck (so contact them). They had my final paycheck deposited today after I got on my MHWD but I’m still waiting for my PTO payout. She told me if the MHWD couldn’t help me with the final paycheck to let her know!

I did not get my last paycheck today (before severance) which is direct deposit. Anyone else have this happen? Maybe since after Aug 30th since we are not employee's anymore it will come in the mail? Anyone else in this situation?

I see that some folks here have already gotten their severance papers in the mail. I have not, is anyone else also still waiting? Did anyone get documents e-mailed to them?

I would say that I'm in a state of shock and am currently residing up shyte creek, but the truth is that as time goes on and the initial stress wears off I am surprised to find myself in a state of relief and closing in on Paradise.

They steal your job, but don't let the company take your sense of humor from you.

So on the documents that I received today there is a paragraph that you are signing your rights away to sue based on age. The cut off age is 40. So they consider 40 an issue with age. Does anyone know if the DM gave corporate names to focus on? There are people older than myself that are still there. I was given a bogus bad annual review after zero coaching and all the review said was I needed to increase the business. So considering I floated 70 percent of the time I felt this was bogus. This is what makes me think I was being set up.

To the queries regarding the DMs eliminating those they didn’t like, are there any who had recent write ups (within the past year), that did not merit these? Are any laid off that had coachings, or disagreements with the DMs? My DM claimed that an email was sent that morning and did not admit to any foreknowledge, but I have learned not to trust them.

To the poster below, age had a lot to do with it. But the market directors also got rid of who they didn’t like

For all of those laid off, do u feel like it was because you were making more than others? Does anyone believe the DM’s had a role in choosing?

If u are not getting a regular paycheck with 5 days pto, be on them like ants at a picnic. That’s what u are owed. I called the dm and told them that’s what is owed to me period end of story. If they don’t do it get a store payout. I did.

Truly, how has this entire process not made national news? How can we elevate this to get more attention? I’ve seen a few articles, but it’s not enough. I don’t get it. The remaining staff is spread so thin, mistakes will happen. Those that were let go, it sounds like things are in place to limit what is paid out by corporate. Thoughts?

This is what they owe you. I live in a state that is a payout state meaning the last day employed 8/30 they owe u everything. This includes paycheck with pay period ending on 8/30. Then 5 days pto which I had 4 weeks saved. Then we will get mailed a package which we have to sign and after they get it back- about in 6 weeks severance money. Not sure if mailed or direct deposit.

I am one of the pharmacists affected by the layoffs In June. I just checked my paystub and nothing yet for the pay period ended in 9/5/19. I was under the understanding this was our last paycheck right? Usually it updates on Sunday, so it has me wondering... I also haven’t received anything on a severance package. Has anyone else?

Our last paycheck will be deposited on 9/5 and if you have PTO it will also be posted on that check. If you are hourly you will get a full payout of your PTO but if you are salary you only get 5 days pay out (example if you are salary at 80 hours they only pay you 40 hours so like half of your salary hours). I am a displaced pharmacist in the Houston area, yes displaced by a PCSM. Supposedly it was “random” but it wasnt. Why doesnt walmart get rid of the lazy pharmacists instead?! And throughout this whole time NO ONE NO ONE has reached out to me. The only msg I received was on 8/30 from my DM asking if I found a position within the company. And of course, how the heck do you find another position when there’s nothing posted? Why would I settle for a position with only 48 hours when I was at 80 hours? How does that make any sense? I was told you qualify for severance if its due to “restructuring” which is what I’m pretty sure was told to the majority of us that was displaced in June. Screw Wal-mart, I will no longer shop at Wal-mart and have nothing to do with the company. They spend all this money on this Moments of Care class (which is to boost customer service sorta have like having a Disneyland attitude), but for what? Waste of money especially since you only target pharmacy and vision because the customer service still s—s outside elsewhere.

Everyone check their paystub for last pay period! Looks like I was just paid for the 5 days of PTO. That’s right no regular pay for pay period 8-17 to 8-30. I just txt former DM for clarification. Then see what happens

I understand your frustration. Same thing happened to me, not even the pharmacy manager whom I worked with for many years never offered any kind words. I just accepted the fact that they’re just selfish people (who were just glad it wasn’t them) with no heart that karma will take care of. It seems like a lot of folks here displaced have been very caring toward one another, makes me wonder what kind of people Walmart decided to keep.

Do you know what bothers me? Is that none of my fellow pharmacist in my district have reached out to me. Shame on them. Do other people feel the same way? Have you had the same experience?

Wal-Mart's management has no soul. If they contact you either ignore them or borrow a line from Jack Nicholson from the movie "As Good as it Gets".

"Wal-Mart Pharmacy: Don't sell crazy here, we're all stocked up!"

Based on truth and has a better ring to it than "Save Money. Live Better." .

Don’t let them mess with you. We are all better than this. I went in to get my last check yesterday and said bye to my techs and cashier. They looked so miserable. No one smiles they had the look of dreaded Walmart stress. If you go back imagine they will do this again and next time no severance package. I’m gonna take the money and run.

Absolutely. That is horrible what happened to the poster below. This company is trying to screw us out of the severance package by luring us in with “offers” of employment. We’ll get the last laugh if we are silent.

Wonder if this has happened to any of you. I received a text this morning from my market director asking if I had any pending interviews or offers from Walmart. I told her I had an interview yesterday and filled out an application for another position this morning. Two hours later I get call from the market director I had interview with saying thanks but no thanks. I was originally told it would be 7-10 days before he would make a decision. I am not a lawyer, but this doesn't seem right!!!

If they hire u back then of course u won’t get severance pay however I will not work for them. No need to be treated so poorly. If you go somewhere else, you should get severence in 6 weeks from the term date which is essentially tomorrow 8/30.

Since we are rapidly approaching the last official day with Walmart (8/31), has anyone been receiving phone calls from the Market Manager? I’ve been getting multiple calls now from my DM (no communication since I was cut at the end of June), as well as from the pharmacy manager (former PCSM) who replaced me. I understand from the corporate policy that if one secures a job in pharmacy prior to 8/31 that you will no longer be eligible for severance pay. I spoke to HR and they gave me the usual song and dance.

I think Walmart is employing very unscrupulous methods to eliminate remaining senior staff and to deny the “displaced” individuals their severance pay.

Has anyone accepted a job within these past two months after being laid off?
