No major layoffs this past week. Total since 6/1-2106 remains at 24,186. Quite clear from various announcements that layoffs will continue in dribs and drabs and many existing units will be allowed to “melt” away.
Keep looking for opportunities elsewhere, friends, keep looking.

True that
Employee headcount ~138k and hiring.
Too bad no sane person believes that oracle will achieve double digit growth. And while oracle is hiring it is also laying people off, trading experienced employees for inexperienced ones. And on a final note, Oracle’s market capitalization is stagnant at about $200 Bn while Apple’s and MSFT’s are through the roof — MSFT most recently reaching a TRILLION on market cap - 5 times Oracle’s. Now that’s value added by a CEO!
