Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

More layoffs coming for North America this summer

More layoffs coming for North America this summer. Whole offices/plants shutting down. Restructuring is a bulls~~t term for keeping the investors happy and Executive Level Management flush with cash and perks. Check on Market Watch to see how many shares the exec's have sold since January. Not many of them have purchased our stock this year. That should tell you something. The companies that HAL has acquired over the years have all but been destroyed along with their cultures. Someone said management doesn't care about the employees. They don't. Get out as quickly as you can. Haliburton is dying. Don't let it take you with it.

Bumped for info from @VTDOflc-3Krdd.

The culture change has taken place.

  1. POP is the buzz word that has taken over conversations rather than having a solid contract to get paid fairly.

  2. Failure resolution, how do we frame it where it isn't our fault.

  3. No employee review process, it is totally optional and at your managers choice.

  4. The new shiny tool will fix everything instead of fixing what we have on in the field now on 75% of our jobs

You sir are an id--t. - The young Halluburton workers are the future. Do not listen to the good ole boy dinosaurs. Young workers who know NOTHING about the job or equipment. Yes they will be in their time but if there is no mixture then the knowledge isn’t getting past down. That’s why we s--- out in the field because 3/4 of the people out there are winging it and hoping for the best.

Like I said I think it'll hold until 3rd quarter. After that it'll be cutting time. North American market is dead right now. Someone hold me and tell me it'll be alright ;_;

I forgot to mention it was El Reno, OK Field Camp. Down from 20 crews to 10 crews out of there. Supposedly a crew got laid off over the weekend. 10 E-TEchs or so today.

Halliburton is a messed up company to work for. I got laid off today along with 10 other electronics technicians. They will never get any of us back again. One with 42 years.

Come on, just one reset button to close shop. No need to do so many rounds of layoff.

The young Halluburton workers are the future. Do not listen to the good ole boy dinosaurs. They may have 25 to 30 years in with Halliburton and they are trying to coast to retirement. Notice they are not leaving but they want you to depart the company. Granted Miller has taken a risk or gamble if you will by surrounding himself by these workers.

At the end of the day it's still tough in the oilfield service sector.
