I’ve been hearing,of significant layoffs over ,the last,9 months. Now reason for various groups but what some managers have told me timing is just based on when the group gets their act together to lay-off people. Unfortunately, the layoffs will continue for some time which just adds to our angst of when management will be done. One of my co-workers just decided at some point he’d be let go and started networking like crazy and ended up getting several, good job offers from competitors. He’s using that now to get a big salary raise (20%+) and assurances he will have a job.

So tell this callous jerk what depts were laid off this past Thursday if I'm wrong HR specialist......YOU AND WF are the Problem, allowing employees to do anything and get away with It. It's sickening what employees are allowed to do because of "liability". Money is the root of all evil.

Prior poster is wrong. TMs used to have displacement call with mgr and HR rep and could ask things things like "When will I get my final paycheck?" "When will I receive COBRA package re: benefits continuation" "What about my vacation payout?" A packet sent in the mail s/b follow-up, not in place of that call.

That displacement call s/b personal and involve treating displaced employee with respect and dignity during difficult time.

WF doesn't do that anymore -- claims there are too many layoffs for 1:1s anymore. (I'm in HR and see and hear things that make me sick, regarding how TMs are treated.)

So don't be a callous jerk about it, prior poster. Clearly, you're part of the problem with WF. Cold and heartless.

Employee Relations is fitting now, since the humanity in Human Resources is long gone.

TMs are just numbers on a spreadsheet and, frankly, are increasingly seen as liabilities (vs. assets) at WF.

This was posted around 8:00 a.m. EST......i.e. TOTAL BULLSH!&. Probably a disgruntled past employee who was justified in being let go. Disgusting. Must be a Democrat.

The point of a layoff is to get you out the door. They do not allow you to ask questions or engage you in a dialogue for legal reasons. Everyone gets the same treatment.

Which groups were laid off?

30 day working period

30 day nonworking period

(60 day total)

2 weeks severance per year of service up to severance cap/max

Mass layoff was on group call. How sh^try is that? Not enough decency to provide 1:1s so we could as personal questions.

Way to treat us with respect. WF s---ed right up until the end, true to form.
